    Edouard Moueix has quite a name to live up to; ever since the family left the pastures and gorges of the Corrèze to seek their fortunes trading on the banks of the Dordogne river in Libourne, Moueix has been synonymous with a host of wine domains in Saint Emilion and Pomerol.   Such was the rapacious rate with which the various branches of the family put down their roots on the Right Bank of Bordeaux, that today their list of châteaux is very impressive.

  4. Luc Guénard
    I bought the vineyard in two phases ; but first I should explain why I decided to go into the wine business, which was not at all my career plan.  It was completely by chance that I decided to learn about wine.  At the Agricultural school in Carpentras, they told me that they were not going to teach me how to taste wine but rather, how to make wine.  I liked that idea and I could follow courses right away, the week after having visited them.  So I began to learn about winemaking in a region that I didn’t know at all.  Doing this course made me passionate about wine and also this region, which is quite different from others.
