Château Ausone

Saint-Émilion Grand Cru
1er Grand Cru Classé A
Twenty years after taking over Ausone, Alain Vauthier has passed the everyday wine decisions to his talented daughter Pauline. The estate’s vines are an average age of 50 years and the blend this year is an equal division between Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Very aromatic with pure notes of red fruit, violet and cherry. There is a vibrance here, a precision and lots of elegance. Perhaps not as flashy as in the past, I love this structure, fine tannins and balance. True class. Drink 2026-2050
