Chateau Cantemerle

Haut-Médoc
5ième Grand Cru Classé
0,75
Red
A great success from a lovely estate at the beginning of the D2 “Route de Chateaux” in the Haut-Médoc just south of Margaux. This wine is gracious and fruity with lovely notes of woodsmoke, cassis and violet. There is good power and richness here and well-structured tannins with flavours of minerals, stone fruit and cedar. Made from a blend of 59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 6% Petit Verdot, this is a wine with lots of verve and character which will age well for the next ten years. Drink 2020-2030
