Château Carbonnieux

Pessac-Léognan
Grand Cru Classé de Graves
1,5
White
The return, after 65 years, of a Perrin as winemaker at the domain marks this vintage. Andréa, the son of Eric Perrin, joined the team in 2019 and asked his father to proudly present this vintage. In the nose we immediately notice the power and at the same time the elegance of the wine. On the palate we are pampered by fresh citrus notes, lychee and limes; rich and generous with great acidity in the final. A classy Carbonnieux that ticks all the boxes. (ADR)

Appellation

Created quite recently, in 1987, Pessac-Léognan is a sub appellation of the Graves, although the region as a whole claims to be the oldest wine region in Bordeaux dating back to the Roman times. It is thanks to the efforts of André Lurton, one of the best-known growers in the area, that the appellation was formed. ...
