Château Chauvin

Saint-Émilion Grand Cru
Classé
1,5
Red
Made from a blend of 85% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon, Sylvie Cazes’ Saint Emilion estate is improving in leaps and bounds since she purchased it in 2014 and started reworking the vineyards. It has a very dark intense, ruby red colour, a lovely velvety texture and is very gourmand and crunchy on the attack. This is a pretty wine with great spice, lots of flavour and tannin and pure red fruit typical of the soils in this part of St Emilion. There is lovely reverberation on the finish. An impressive wine from Sylvie’s talented winemaker Jérémie Gravier.
