Château Cheval Blanc

Saint-Émilion Grand Cru
1er Grand Cru Classé A
1,5
Red
Cheval Blanc is always at the cutting edge of Bordeaux. When we arrived at the château this year, there were sheep grazing on the lawns with the aim to improve the bio-diversity of the estate; (in previous years we have been introduced to horses and bees). Whatever the young team are doing at Cheval Blanc, they are doing it right. This is an absolutely stunning Cheval Blanc with a very dark intense colour, floral notes of iris and violet and beautiful ripe red and black fruit aromas with a little touch of exotic fruit from the Merlot (passion fruit/mango). The wine combines length and power and very fine, savoury tannins. Very classic, beautiful Cheval Blanc. (FM)
