2020 is the year of transition, when the story of the Albada Jelgersma family ended after 18 years and the estate was sold to the Helfrich family. The wine was the last produced by the previous team, led by Alexander van Beek. Due to the drought, it was a small harvest (25 hL) but one of great quality. A concentrated dark colour with a fine purple shine in the rim. With aromas of dark fruit, blackberries, blueberries and a small spicy Mediterranean undertone, this is a powerful wine with a creamy texture. The Cabernet Franc grapes had fresh, tannic structure that brought elegance to the wine. Fine cedar notes are present in the lively, long finish. (ADR)
