Château Giscours

Margaux
3ième Grand Cru Classé
0,75
Red
Giscours' vineyards are made up of four hills of deep gravel which account for the structure and power of the wine. Alexander Van Beek admitted that they worked very hard throughout the summer to maintain freshness in the vines. Dark, bright glossy ruby colour; nose is perfumed, spicy and plummy; generous fruit flavours of cassis and mulberries on the attack; lifted and elegant on the palate, although quite virile with long and fresh tannins . There is a good length here, this is very Margaux style, very classic like the old flavours of Giscours but you can see the precision and the great winemaking behind the wine. (FM)
