Chateau Grand-Puy-Lacoste

Pauillac
5ième Grand Cru Classé
Primeur
0,75
Red
This is a favourite and in 2022 displays all the qualities of a great Pauillac. As in many of the Médoc estates, it was the earliest harvest in on record. The wine displays no sign of having suffered from the drought thanks to some rain that fell on the 15th of August. The wine has a very bright, dark crimson colour and shows primary aromas of ripe cherries, blackcurrant, and a touch of cinnamon on the nose. On the palate it is sweet and energetic with lovely cassis and raspberry fruit. Sensual, chic, fresh and wonderfully approachable so young, its abiding acidity keeps everything in balance. A lovely Grand Puy Lacoste.
