Haut Bages Libéral is another Médoc wine with record amounts of Cabernet (here 90% with 10% Merlot) and it suits the wine beautifully. Spheric and round on the attack; very, very Cabernet with an intriging nose of woodsmoke, cassis, incense, damson plums and subtle, violet scented perfume. On the palate the wine is fresh and cool with very controlled tannins of ripe Cabernet and one degree less of alcohol (13% abv). An attractive wine: upstanding, structured and agile. A great success for Claire Lurton and her biodynamic viticulture. Max. 12 btls.
