Separated from its more famous neighbour Château Figeac in 1879, the estate has been run organically since 1987. Ripe and fresh on the nose with attractive red berry fruit, this wine is all about elegance and has been made with very soft extraction; aging took place for the first time in 400 litre barrels and amphora to increase the finesse. The final impression is one of generous, very plummy fruit. (FM)
