Château Lagrange

Saint-Julien
3ième Grand Cru Classé

At Lagrange, the quality is so consistent; even more this year as Matthieu Bordes, was given carte blanche to produce a wine that he could stand behind 100%, even though this meant that he would put less wine on the market. This resulted in a delicious wine, with a lot of finesse, structure and elegance. The Merlot grape was a great success this year, with a pure surging opulence that uses the Cabernets as its backbone. On tasting, we find juicy fruit notes including myrtles and a hint of raspberries carried by a refreshing acidity and lush tannins. This is a happy wine! (ADR)
