Château Mouton Rothschild

Pauillac
1er Grand Cru Classé
0,75
Red
This is a very classic Mouton which reflects the greatness of their Cabernet vines in this cooler vintage. It has the classic aromas of cassis, cherries, cedar and violets in the nose which are very precise and controlled. 89% cabernet sauvignon, 10% merlot and 1% cabernet franc grapes make up the blend. On the palate, the wine is quite shy at first and then begins to reveal the multi-layered texture of very fine tannins, lovely integrated acidity and a vibrant resonance in the finish. - Jean-Emmanuel Danjoy, the winemaker at Mouton, has really found his stride with this vintage.
