Always one of our favourite wines from St. Estèphe we are delighted that our friend Philippe Vande Vyvere is now the proud owner of this beautiful domain. Quite powerful in the nose with intense black fruit flavours, mixed with earthy , briary, rather wild fruit elements. On the palate the wine is ripe and lush with good power, impressive tannins and structure leading to a full, generous finish. This is great showing and should be one of the sleepers of the vintage.

The northernmost of the six Médoc communes, St. Estèphe was unfairly judged when the 1855 classification was decided; probably because of its distance to the city of Bordeaux.
