Château Tronquoy

This is the first time we have secured an allocation of this delicious St. Estèphe from the same stable as Château Montrose. If you notice how many St. Estèphes we now have in our Bordeaux portfolio, it is because this appellation is making outstandingly balanced and fresh wines in this time of climate change at attractive prices and is now one of the most consistent of the Médoc communes. Tronquoy begins with a fruit charged nose of cherries and cassis, with dominant flavours of Cabernet Sauvignon – cassis, chocolate and spice. The creamy texture is impressive with smooth tannins and a vibrant, lively finish. It is a serious wine with surprising depth and structure and a lovely discovery for us.
