We have been looking for a reasonably priced rosé Champagne for a while; a wine that is fruity and savoury at the same time and offers good purity and precision (we happen to be a bit picky about the Champagne we sell!) Thanks to our friends at Champagne Beaumont de Crayères, we have found their sister Champagne in the premier cru village of Pierry, a historic village on the southern slopes near Epernay. The blend of grapes is 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier. The Champagne is aged for five years and has a dosage level of 8 grams of sugar. This rosé Champagne has an attractive salmon pink colour, has red fruit aromas such as wild strawberries and cherries on the nose, is crunchy and fresh on the attack with good length and minerality. The name of the Champagne takes its name from a Greek Goddess who appears in the constellation of Virgo. One of its stars is Vindemiatrix, the harvester who when she appears in the eastern sky, this signifies that it is time to start the grape picking.

    0.75l White
    €10.20 €8.43
This is our best-selling white wine and it is easy to see why. Coming from a beautiful estate owned by Baudouin Thienpont, the brother of Jacques in the heart of Bordeaux, this is everything you look for from a Sauvignon Blanc wine that matches so well with oysers, light meals, salads and seafood. It has fresh citrus aromas on the nose with notes of wild flowers and a touch of sweetness. Ripe, refreshing and lively on the palate this is so appetizing and attractive.

    0.75l Red
    €9.80 €8.10
A very pretty red Bordeaux with a ruby red colour, a soft, fresh nose with aromas or red fruit and a touch of spice, this wine is predominately made from Merlot giving it body and balance, plus a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon adding structure. Well-made, smooth and quite full on the palate this is a great everyday wine that can be enjoyed immediately.

    Thienpont Selection Bordeaux Supérieur
    0.75l Red
    €9.00 €7.44
After the success of our first collaboration with the Le Grix de la Salle family for the Bordeaux Supérieur 2016, we are very happy to present the new 2018 vintage blended by Jacques and Fiona Thienpont. Composed of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, it is an intense and fruity wine, with attractive black fruit flavours and a hint of roasted coffee and toast. In the mouth, it is round and seductive with good depth. Soft tannins and a good length on the palate sign this wine which will delight Bordeaux lovers. This wine will drink well for the next five to eight years and is excellent served with red or white meats and mature cheeses.
