Domaine Chandon de Briailles

2/3rd of the vines is in the 1er Cru part but now sold as a village wine. I was immediately struck by the lovely depth of colour and the great intensity of violet and cherry aromas. There seems to be more acidity and precision than in the 2019s. Soft, silky, and very classy structure with lovely black fruit sweetness on the attack. This is not exuberant in the way the 2019 is ; it is very composed, elegant and well balanced. Long, fruity, and spicy, the tannins are perfect. A very classy, stylish wine.
