Normally it is the Chevalier Blanc that steals the show but in 2015, the red and the white stand side by side in stature and glory. A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot, the wine is beautifully balanced with great freshness and fruit, very expressive aromas (black cherries, minerals, graphite and incense) and great precision. Intense and very beguiling this is a wine which will probably always be delicious to drink but which will age well too.

The story
Created quite recently, in 1987, Pessac-Léognan is a sub appellation of the Graves, although the region as a whole claims to be the oldest wine region in Bordeaux dating back to the Roman times. It is thanks to the efforts of André Lurton, one of the best-known growers in the area, that the appellation was formed. ...
