Domaine des Lambrays

Not to take anything away from the beautiful terroir of Clos des Lambrays but Jacques Devauges in one vintage has managed to introduce precision and energy into this famous wine. Eighty percent whole berry fermentation seems to add cooler, autumn fruit flavours to the wine. It has beautiful fresh, floral notes in the nose; on the palate there is depth and richness of fruit, spice and minerals while maintaining a silky, intense structure; The lasting impression is of great purity, structure and liveliness. A very impressive Grand Cru which will take some time to reach its best. Max. 6 btls.
