Le Pied de Samson (VI)
IGP Collines Rhodaniennes

White
This is an exceptional vintage in the northern Rhône and the rain in August, helped the Viognier grapes come to full maturity with good freshness. Named after the legend of the giant Samson who put his foot on the right bank and drank from the Rhône River, the wine has a pale yellow colour, characteristic of young Viognier wines. The nose is expressive and open with aromas of stone fruits – Reine Claude plums and apricots. The palate is elegant and lively, characteristic of the granite soils, with lingering flavours aromas of peach and apricot on the precise and fresh finish.
