Domaine Georges Vernay

Vernay’s signature wine, coming from almost 50-year-old vines grown on steep terraces facing the Rhône River is intense and saline. The first quality that is apparent is the beautiful balance between freshness and depth of flavour. The Viognier in this terroir has flavours of almonds, Reine Claude plums, kiwis, verbena and a touch of spice, rather than floral sweetness. There is such purity and energy here which is a real signature of Vernay’s Condrieu.
