We always think of Grivot’s Echezeaux as being glamorous and certainly the wine begins with lovely freshness on the nose – berried fruit mixed with notes of pomegranate and blood orange. Round and soft on the attack, it builds in structure and complexity showing notes of licorice, salinity, laurel and black chocolate. There is great, fruity density with good balance, some abiding sweetness and a sappy finish. This is a very healthy, athletic wine with great charm that will age very well indeed. Max. 6 btls.
