Louis Boillot is fortunate to have wonderful holdings in Gevrey of old vines. This wine is a blend of eight old vine parcels and it exhibits the simple beauty of blackberry and cassis Gevrey fruit with the signature elegance and freshness of Louis’ winemaking style. Intense and quite sweet on the attack, the wine becomes more complex with notes of laurel, chocolate and licorice on the palate. The finish is soft and creamy and this will be a lovely wine to drink quite young.
