A very high performing village Volnay from Louis, which also benefits from vines that are over 50 years old. This is a lovely example of Boillot’s sure and steady style – very little intervention but confident winemaking where the quality of his vines is allowed to show through. There are ripe small berried dark fruit flavours on the nose and the attack. The wine has good, structured tannins, a velvety texture and a generous, balanced finish.
