Situated just under Clos de Bèze with vines that are more than 100 years old, this is a warm climat which produces the most fascinatingly complex wines. There is energy from the start with aromas of damson plums, cardamon, raspberries and mint. Lovely intensity on the palate with an exciting old vine buzz to the texture. Finishes quite structured, mineral and almost austere but there is lots of promise here.
