Haut-Bailly II

Pessac-Léognan
0,75
Red
The glamourous second wine from Haut Bailly is savoury and spicy in the nose, with hints of balsam, vanilla, tobacco and plums. It is soft and creamy on the attack, with a good tannin structure and a more classic style than last year. Despite having more Merlot than Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend there are flavours of cassis, cedar, pepper and spice on the palate and good concentration because of the small berries of the vintage. On the finish you forget the peppery, tannic attack because the wine becomes more generous and fruitier, fresh and well balanced. Good ageability here. (FM)
