L’Argnée

This is a hectare plot with lots of sand, where pre-phylloxera Grenache vines, non-grafted, still grow even when they are over 100 years old. The yields are tiny (around 5-15 hl/HA) and the wine is deliciously fresh, exciting and concentrated in an aerian way with a great buzz and vivacity to it. We adore this wine with its silky texture, surprising richness of dark fruit flavours, its creamy suaveness of the tannins and its autumn fruit purity in the finish. The 2021 will offer immediate primary fruit pleasure and can be enjoyed earlier than the 2020 vintage. A lovely wine.
