Prieuré de Montézargues (BIO)

We are delighted to have this fabulous, organic rosé back in our selection. It is produced in Tavel, the only appellation dedicated uniquely to rosé and comes from an historic 12th century abbey where old vines including Grenache (red and white) Cinsault and Clairette along with a smattering of others are used in the blend. It has a dark salmon colour indicating a really vinous, serious rosé, with a great taste of wild redcurrants, a touch of pata negra ham, some spice and above all an abiding, pure acidity which makes this wine so appetising and appealing. On the finish there is sweetness from the ripe fruit that is balanced by a salty minerality. This is a rosé to enjoy at the table with Mediterranean cuisine – shellfish, exotic or spicy food and fish. It will also be available in magnums which are so beautiful with their sleek, long necked bottles.
