Barbera d'Alba DOC

Barbera is a lovely, aromatic Piedmontese grape which has a rich purple colour and a full, juicy fruit profile full of plums and figs with a touch of wild herbs and spices. It is produced in La Morra which is a district known for its fresh, lively character and elegance due to the acidity in the soils. The wine is fermented in stainless steel temperature controlled vats to preserve the freshness and partially aged in oak barrels. The historical label of the soldier was designed by Renato Ratti to commemorate the deeds of the Piedmontese regiments of the eighteenth century. He also created the iconic Albeisa bottle in 1973 to distinguish the wines from this historic town. A delicious, easy to drink wine with a velvety texture and long finish, it matches well with refined meat dishes and aged cheeses.
