Verum (BIO)

This wine raises the humble, local grape variety, Airen onto a new level by using old vines planted in the stony limestone soils on their own rootstocks (pie franco means ungrafted). The wine is aged on its lees for four months in clay vats (the historic Tinadas) and then a further four months in stainless steel tanks. This is a remarkable wine with such salty minerality that the wine almost leaps out of the glass. This wine is a lovely blend of bright white fruit flavours coupled with notes of fine herbs and wild grasses. It will remain on your palate and your memory for a very long time.
