The Nicolas family are exceedingly pleased with this wine and compare it to their great 2001. It is ripe and fresh with a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. Charming, expressive with notes of violets, truffles and black cherries, a bit less powerful than recent vintages but very well made and delicious.

Pomerol is one of the smallest appellations in Bordeaux and the only major one that does not have a classification system.
