Domaine de Chevalier

Pessac-Léognan
Grand Cru Classé de Graves
0,75
Red
Olivier Bernard embarked on a major replanting of the estate in the 1980s and now that those vines are mature and are part of the blend, Chevalier just keeps getting better and better. Always rather ignored by Robert Parker, Chevalier’s fine, elegant style and fresh fruit has now come into its own and this is one of the most successful wines “en primeur”. Scented and rich with lots of dark, black currant fruit, notes of bing cherry, minerals and spice. Very lush and fruity, I think this wine will become more complex and intense with age. A treat.
