Saint-Émilion

Red
In 2010 Jacques Thienpont bought this ideally situated estate on the plateau of Saint Emilion, facing the village and next to Château Troplong Mondot. Four hectares of vines have been pulled out and replanted with great precision shown in working each parcel differently both in the vineyard and in the winery. The 2014 vintage is a blend of 91% Merlot and 9% Cabernet Franc grapes, aged for 12-16 months in French oak barrels, 50% new oak, 50% used for one wine. The wine has a bright ruby garnet colour, excellent freshness and purity which, right from the beginning had juicy aromas of red fruit and a delicious, lively and attractive taste with a pretty , refined tannic structure.
