Château L'Eglise-Clinet

Pomerol
0,75
Red
This is a smooth, opulent, generous Eglise Clinet with lovely balance and structure. For the primeur tastings, Denis Durantou showed two different barrels each revealing different aspects of the wine: the first was composed and elegant revealing notes of rose, violet, bing cherry and plums with crisp acidity and length. The second was much more exuberant and full with more concentration and depth and good oak notes. Combined these two will make a compelling and quite dramatic wine. Made from a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, Eglise Clinet holds its own amongst Pomerol's finest.
