Château Lynch-Bages

Pauillac
5ième Grand Cru Classé
0,75
Red
Anyone visiting Bages these days will be shocked at the gaping hole where the cellar used to be. Knowing the creative genius of Jean-Michel Cases who has hired Didi Pei, (the son of I.M. Pei) to design the new winery, we are in for a treat. Dark brooding and quite thick in texture with glossy colour and a bright crimson rim, the wine has very ripe Cabernet aromas, some sweetness and floral notes but all is quite packed if fresh; lovely spice and great black fruit flavours on the silky attack; , very, very Cab, very powerful, without being extracted; tannic intensity in the finish and lots of structure and power there. So honest. So Lynch Bages. If this is so good, what are the wines going to be like with the new cellar??? Drink 2026-2050
