2019 | Quinta da Gricha

Churchill’s famous quinta beautifully located high up over the Douro River, is not only the home to a very good port but also makes excellent red wines. This 2019 vintage has a very intense colour, and is dark, bright and glossy. It has good intensity with a touch of Port flavour with pretty, plummy notes on the attack which lead to an intense black chocolate and dark roasted coffee beans taste without losing the freshness. This is intensely drinkable, and quite beguiling with lovely long fruit and a deeply satisfying, warm, rich, finish with lingering freshness. Really an impressive wine with a great following for those who like rich, velvety wines.
