Château Duhart-Milon

Pauillac
4ième Grand Cru Classé
1,5
Red
With a cooler vintage the different parcels of Duhart Milon have shown their individual characters ranging from the cool clay soils where the Merlots grow, to the gravel slopes where the Atlantic climate and the mild climate are ideal for the old Cabernet vines. It is no surprise that the blend this year is 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot and it is this Cabernet character with a dark purple colour, a smoky, briary nose of cassis mingled with herbs and autumn and sweet flavours of blackberries and minerals that marks this beautiful wine which should hopefully convince those not already aware, of the quality and the class of this much improved estate.
