Château Figeac

Saint-Émilion Grand Cru
1er Grand Cru Classé

Harvesting the 2023 vintage at Figeac took almost a month; there were 12 days between the harvesting o the Merlot and the Cabernet Franc and at each stage, Frederic Faye knew he had enough excellent grapes to make a strict selection. There is a feeling of elegance and lightness with everything in such good balance that there is a beautiful natural freshness here. The nose is typical Figeac – red berries mingle with plums and cloves; there is a touch of oceanic freshness blowing in from the Atlantic and then on the palate there is an explosion of fruit where salinity and minerality come together to meet the fruit. Freddy tells us that the purity came with the new investment and this silky texture has become the grand signature of Figeac today. A star.
