We are great admirers of Claire Lurton’s natural, biodynamic Pauillac which is a blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Merlot with impressive yields of 53 hl/ha. This is sweet and fresh with good cassis and plummy fruit, an attractive attack with lots of freshness, lithe tannins and pretty limestone infused fruit, all well-tempered using a neutral gas which enables gentle extraction without pumping over. The result is a modern classic; a pure Pauillac with very little sulfites and a vein of mineral intensity in the finish. Top.
