The domain celebrates the 50th anniversary of the ownership of the domain by the Rettenmaier family this year. The grapes, 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc reached perfect ripeness due to the dry, warm summer weather producing good yields of 45 hl/ha. The wine has a very bright ruby red colour and is soft and spicy on the nose with good red fruit character and some wild strawberries. There is good energy on the attack with lots of spicy tannins which retain their freshness and create a velvety backbone for this oganic wine which is charming and pure.
