Château Léoville Barton

Saint-Julien
2ième Grand Cru Classé
Primeur
0,75
Red
Made from a blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon,10% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc, the wine is being aged in 60% of new oak. It has a bright dark crimson colour, the nose has black fruit aromas, with underlying pretty notes of plums, cassis, some salinity and balsam. There is good sweetness on the palate with precision and freshness in quite a modern style. With good silky tannins, everything seems well composed and balanced with elegance rather than power showing here. Lots of class, freshness, and an attractive fruity reverberation continues to the finish. Stylish.
