Familia Torres (BIO)

Torres’ ancestral varieties are the answer to a world of increasingly uniform flavours in the wine world and the conviction that pre-phylloxera indigenous varieties, brought back from the brink of extinction, could offer a glimpse of our past, present, and future. Made from a blend of Forcada and Xarello, this wine is bright and clear, sweet, and floral on the nose with aromas of wildflowers and fresh jasmin. Good persistant taste, quite rich and intense with an appetising floral bitterness of fennel, sage and mediterranean herb flavours. The lovely wild character lingers for a long time on the finish and is very fine and persistent; a great accompaniment to fish and grilled seafood – preferably served at a seaside wine bar!
