Le Petit Cheval

Saint-Émilion Grand Cru
Primeur
0,75
Red
Only 10% of the production this year was used to make Petit Cheval (in 2022, non was made). It is minty and fresh on nose, with lots of Cabernet flavours. On the palate it is , juicy with a note of licorice and woodsmoke. The blend is an even 50% Cabernet Franc and 50% Merlot, and in barrels of one year from Cheval Blanc. Sweet, creamy, mineral, and quite saline, with good crunchy fruit and round tannins this is an easy drinking wine with abiding freshness in the finish.
