Château La Tour de By has been a familyowned estate since 1965. It is now managed by Marc Pagès’ grandsons: Frederic Le Clerc as Managing Director and Benjamin Richer de Forges as Commercial Director.

The vineyard, which stretches over 110 ha, is ideally located on two gravel slopes at the Northern tip of the Médoc peninsula. Located 80 km from Bordeaux, La Tour de By is surrounded by the Gironde River and the Atlantic Ocean. Most vines are more than 40 years old. They produce highly noble grape varieties, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, with a spacing of up to 10 000 plants / ha.

To make great wines, Château La Tour de By uses environmentally-friendly methods, to ensure good harvests with optimum maturity for all grapes. The wine’s vinifi cation lasts 10 weeks in their old 19th century cellar, in thermo-regulated wooden and stainless steel vats. It is then matured in French oak barrels for 6 to 18 months, depending on the Cuvees.

After Emile Peynaud, the very well-known consultant-oenologist for this famous member of the prestigious Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux, MM. Boissenot father and son now take care of the wines.
