- 2018 Haut-Bailly IIPessac-Léognan0.75l RedPrimeur€33.99 €28.09Haut-Bailly II is the new name of La Parde de Haut-Bailly and Véronique Sanders explains that this was what her grandfather, Jean Sanders, called the wine. “The wine is the same, only the name has changed,” she says and the objective is to “link the wine more closely to the property and also eliminate confusion in the market.” In any case, the wine is dark, glossy and brightly coloured with an intense nose of black fruit, cigars, mint and cedar. On the palate it is fresh and velvety with round, full tannins, multi-layered and well-balanced. Rich yet elegant, the wine is already tasting beautifully and will offer excellent early to mid-term drinking.
