Grenache Gris

Another of the permutations of Grenache being quite similar to Grenache Rouge and a little more productive than Grenache Blanc. It seems to taste like a combination of Grenache Blanc and Pinot Gris with its grey or pink skin and its rather spicy fruit flavour. Planted in the southern Rhône it is primarily used in white blends with Grenache Blanc or Macabeo.
Small amounts are also found in Spain.
