Château Lynch-Bages

Pauillac
5ième Grand Cru Classé
3
Red
We loved the fruity exuberance and the lovely elegance of Lynch-Bages which make this one of the most charming wines of the vintage. Made from a blend of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot, there is such precision and intensity in the wine that we can only believe that the new cellar has contributed to the quality of the 2021. This is beautifully composed, fresh and sweet with the characteristic aromas of cassis, tobacco and cedar. On the palate there are powerful, ripe tannins, and good density. This reminds us of the classic Lynch-Bages wines that Jean-Michel used to make. Long and fresh in the finish, this should have a very long drinking window.
