Château Lynch-Bages

Pauillac
5ième Grand Cru Classé
Primeur

Red
Using Kant’s saying “Nature acts, Man creates”, Lynch-Bages perfectly sums up the relationship between vigneron and vine this year. Made from a blend of 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot with generous yields of 47 hl/ha, this is a dark intense wine with floral hawthorn and violets notes, dark berries, tobacco, and graphite. On the palate the wine settles down with a creamy texture, elegant tannins and a poised confidence which is very Lynch-Bages and very Pauillac. It will be wonderful to drink this in 20 years. A lovely tribute to Jean-Michel Cazes, pioneer of this great estate who died in 2023.
