Les Fiefs de Lagrange

Saint-Julien
1,5
Red
Matthieu Bordes wryly observed to us: "we didn't think we could make a wine like this” and certainly this pretty, satisfying Fiefs is a surprising success given the challenges of the vintage. Made from a blend of 52% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Petit Verdot, Fiefs has expressive notes of blackberries, cherries and raspberries. There are good forward flavours which are juicy, chocolatey, creamy, soft and delicious. There is lots to like in this easy drinking, fresh and satisfying wine which will offer lots of drinking pleasure in the short to mid-term.
