Château Lafleur Gazin

Pomerol
Primeur
0,75
Red
The Moueix purchased this estate in 2021, after that they had been managing the vineyard “en fermage” for many years. They have sold off some of the lesser parcels and concentrated on improving the ripeness and tannic structure of this wine. The work is paying off! Bright and clear with a dark crimson colour, it has soft berried fruit in the nose with a touch of herbs and some mineral notes. Made uniquely from Merlot grapes this year, it is silky on the palate with good spice and a savoury element of wild herbs, anise, and licorice. The texture of the tannins is impressive although for the moment we have the feeling that the wine is holding back somewhat.
